The Skellig Isles, a UNESCO world heritage site and the most well preserved ancient Christian monastic settlement in Europe, are home to around 20,000 breeding pairs of gannets.
This outstanding population is the second largest in the world! These large sea birds mainly inhabit the smaller of the two islands that make up the Skelligs. It doesn't end there, though. The islands are home to many other species, among them: Puffins, Herring Gulls, Razorbills and more!
Weather permitting, boats depart from several villages along the coast to visit the Rocks. Call us today to see if the weather is suitable. You may be able to fit in a truely memorable experience!
